Nocturnal Botanicals
I never realized how luminous plants could appear when they are dripping with moisture under the moonlight. This realization occurred while in my teens taking a walk very late one night when the entire neighborhood was dreaming. This appreciation has been furthered through studies of Dutch Master Florals, Pierre-Joseph Redoute, Margaret Mee, and Kate Furbish (from Brunswick, Maine). The beauty of our plant world has inspired many nocturnal botanicals along the way.
