As Leaf grew bright green
by his own great, great desire,
eventually a bright blue bird
Flew onto his stem!
It contently perched
to be examined and pursued.
Leaf was ecstatic
and took to the bird
recording faithfully
his love like a science.
So proud was he
to know
Exactly
what he wanted
and to get it.
