Drawing & Printmaking

I can sit hours in front of a drawing or piece of art work, just as easily as one can sit for hours watching TV or a screen on the internet. Investing the stillness and the attention into an art work while it is still emerging is like a silent knowing wink between passing  introverts, a subtle communication that returns so much in kind.

The pencil drawing above is such a piece. I recall the jumping-out-of-the-chair moments saying "Hello". Another step along the way is revealed. It is then my turn to freeze that realization in pencil, return to my chair and wait for another move.
