The Blue Bird Analogy
Leaf was green,
a secondary,
insisting on the songs of birds
to transform him
to blue
the color of the cloudless sky.
Reaching to fly
and flying being the end
of reaching
he grew on mistreating himself
and the art
of being who one is.
